The new ‘go to’ online health resource for families in Norfolk. JustOneNorfolk.nhs.uk has been live for 3 months and has already had over 57,000 views!
At the beginning of Self Care Week, November 2018, JustOneNorfolk.nhs.uk launched into the digital community. The new NHS resource is aimed at helping children, young people and their parents in Norfolk better understand the pertinent issues relating to younger people’s health, wellbeing and care.
The platform was created by NHS Norfolk Children and Young People’s Services in partnership with the Eastern Academic Health Science Network, Best Beginnings (the Baby Buddy app creators), Norfolk County Council and families in Norfolk.
The site focuses on user experience, keeping its content interesting and entertaining through the use of interactive graphics, custom made animations and a whole host of films starring families from Norfolk. Whilst being very visual the resource is also very accessible, anyone with computer or mobile device can access the site. For users that need more flexibility, JustOneNorfolk.nhs.uk has multiple font sizes, high resolution formatting for extra magnification and also translates into 80 different languages.
All the content on the site has been created, sourced and approved by qualified NHS professionals in the NHS Norfolk Children and Young People’s Service, so families know they can rely on the advice. Topics include: Childhood Illness, Staying Safe, Child Development, Additional Needs and Healthy Lifestyles.
