Statutory Inspections of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)
As many of you will recall we had our five year Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools on 21/11/19. The Inspector looked at many aspects of school life including our vision and values as a Church of England School, how these impact on the pupils’ behaviour and attitudes towards others; the way we collaborate with our local churches and the Diocese, as well as outside agencies and the school’s interaction with the community beyond its gates into the wider world. Our academic standards were also looked at, as well as how well pupils perform in all subjects, including RE, and the progress of pupils with SEND.
I am very pleased to tell you that the school received an “Excellent” grade in all categories which we are told is quite difficult to attain. It goes without saying that I am very proud of the children and staff for all they have achieved. Thank you also to all those parents who were able to find the time to talk to the Inspector. The Report can be viewed below.
