The school has experienced some difficulty with e-mails today, with a scam e-mail being sent to some parents which appears to have been sent by the school. The message says that you have missed a call from school and asks you to click on a link. Please do not click on anything – this message is not from the school.
If we need to contact you about your child we will do so by text or telephone call and not by e-mail.
If you have received the e-mail and clicked on the link, the advice from our ICT support is as follows;
First step is to change your password, avoid using a variation of your old password i.e. adding numbers to the end of your old password, then check your deleted items – it appears that the malicious email has been setting rules up on the compromised email account to forward any incoming mail into the deleted items folder.
Following this please check your email rules:
Apologies for the confusion. We are taking steps to ensure that this does not happen again.
