Class Eagles (Y5 and Y6)
Welcome to Class Eagles. We are a mixed Y5 and Y6 class. Our teacher is Mr Stowers and our teaching assistants are Ms Godbold and Mrs Connor.
Madame Brown will teach French on a Tuesday, Mrs Godbold will teach art on a Friday and Mr Colbeck will teach PE also on a Friday. In the second half of the year we will be partaking in Ukulele lessons with Mr Cooper. This will be on a Tuesday afternoon.
We are becoming confident users of numbers and are honing our mental maths skills. We are keen and enthusiastic readers as well as becoming more experienced writers.
We go on trips with Class Owls, and last summer we had a residential trip to Brancaster. Please see our gallery page for photos.
|Autumn Term||World War 1|
Early in the 2017 Autumn term class Eagles, along with Skylarks and Owls, visited the Castle Museum to support our topic on Egypt. The children met an archeologist who talked about Egyptian artifacts. They were told about mummification and then joined in a “Day in the life of an Egyptian” drama with dressing-up and role play. A craft activity was organised creating Egyptian collars – a vibrant display of these can be seen in the school corridor.
Christmas cakes! Well done Eagles for some fantastic cake making and decorating.
