Play Odd and Bob – Recap all phase 5 sounds

Play buried treasure to recap all of the phase 5 sounds we have been learning. Make a note of any sounds you are still unsure of to practise later.

You could also try reading some phase 5 sentences by playing Yes/No Yeti.

Reception

Practise reading and writing the tricky words, asked and their. Practise the spellings and then cut out each word and place them in front of you. Ask an adult to call out a word and you have to hit it as fast as you can. You could even add the last set of tricky words to make it harder. Can you write a sentence using these words?

Write some of the phase 3 sounds we have been learning including /oi/ on pieces of paper. Ask an adult to call out a sound and you have to tap it as quickly as you can. If you have a fly swat you could hit the sounds with it. If you are lucky enough to have a nerf gun you could even put the sounds on the back of a door and shoot the sounds an adult calls out.
