Autumn Term 2026
Reading in Kingfishers:
- All children will bring home a Superstar Reading Record – this is for you to write in when your child reads at home. It is important to read every day as your child builds and practises the skills to become a life-long reader.
- Children will be supported to change their own reading book every day, building towards independence. If you notice any problems, please let us know.
- All children read in a group with an adult at least twice a week. This will also be recorded, using a stamp or a comment, in their Superstar Reading Record.
- Your child will have the opportunity to borrow a school library book which will be changed on Tuesdays. Please help them to remember to bring their library book to class each week.
