Visit to Sutton Hoo

The whole of KS2 went to Sutton Hoo on Wednesday as part of their “Invaders and Settlers” topic.  They explored the burial mounds and spent time learning from the exhibitions.  Here are some of the children’s thoughts:

The tour was pretty great.  We learned about the people who are buried there” Arthur

“I learned that Anglo Saxon kings were buried with all their jewels and armor – a bit like Ancient Egyptians” Alfie

“I learnt that there were 2 burials and one was bigger than the other and King Raedwold was in one – the big one I think”  Jack and Rey
